odd/even row colorization

Hi, I know that this is creazy, but I would like to colorize my index (messages list) rows differently if they are odd or even, like modern gui applications with dark/light alternates background. I think it will be useful on big terminals, open with long messages lists. Hope this is useful for other peoples . Thanks. André Rodier.
